Baseball Bylaws

BASEBALL

Sec. 1    The number of games and starting date of practice will be determined by the N.C.S.

Sec. 2    Batting practice will be allowed until 1 hour prior to game time. Not NCS Championship games. 2/10/11

Sec. 3    Coaches of EBAL baseball teams may coach in the coaches box. This may be done in team uniform only.

Sec. 4    The starting time for all the games shall be 4:00 PM.

Sec. 5    No senior is eligible for Junior Varsity Competition

                    Any lower level player can participate in Varsity tournaments without jeopardizing his eligibility.

Sec. 6     Only Freshmen and Sophomores may play on the Frosh/Soph team.  

Sec. 7     J.V. games will be played at opposite schools of regularly scheduled Varsity games on the same day.

Sec. 8     Frosh games will be played on Saturdays and Mondays following the JV location. 

Sec. 9     Baseball games shall be conducted under the National Federation Rules,

Sec. 10   Game ending procedures; Any contest that is suspended for any reason will continue from the point of interruption, unless mutually agreed upon by both schools to end

              the contest or if one team is ahead after 5 complete innings or the home team is ahead after 4 ½ innings.

Sec. 11   On rain outs must play on the next available (weather permitting, officials availability, facility conditions) date including Saturdays. 

Sec 12.  Teams with only 1 field will be allowed to start JV/Frosh games at 5pm. 

COMPETITIVE EQUITY

This sport is split into 2 divisions based on competitive equity.  There is a Mountain and Valley division and each division receives a separate League Champion and Automatic Qualifier.  Each division also has their own EBAL all league recognition. Baseball receives a 3rd automatic qualifier which goes to the runner up in the mountain division.

BASEBALL ALL-LEAGUE & MVP

Sec. 1 Player of the Year will be voted on first followed by Pitcher of the Year 

Sec. 2 There will be a 9 member 1st and a 9 member 2nd all-league team per division.

Sec. 3 At the All-League meeting, the league commissioner will post the nominations
