BASEBALL
Sec. 1 The number of games and starting date of practice will be determined by the N.C.S.
Sec. 2 Batting practice will be allowed until 1 hour prior to game time. Not NCS Championship games. 2/10/11
Sec. 3 Coaches of EBAL baseball teams may coach in the coaches box. This may be done in team uniform only.
Sec. 4 The starting time for all the games shall be 4:00 PM.
Sec. 5 a. No senior is eligible for Junior Varsity Competition.
b. Any lower level player can participate in Varsity tournaments without jeopardizing his eligibility.
Sec. 6 J.V. games will be played at opposite schools of regularly scheduled Varsity games on the same day.
Sec. 6A Frosh games will be played on Saturdays and Mondays following the JV location.
Sec. 7 Baseball games shall be conducted under the National Federation Rules,
Sec. 8 Game ending procedures; Any contest that is suspended for any reason will continue from the point of interruption, unless mutually agreed upon by both schools to end the contest or if one team is ahead after 5 complete innings or the home team is ahead after 4 ½ innings.
Sec. 9 On rain outs must play on the next available (weather permitting, officials availibility, facility conditions) date including Saturdays.
Sec 10. Teams with only 1 field will be allowed to start JV/Frosh games at 5pm.
** For the 2021 Spring season sophomores will be able to play Freshmen baseball**
BASEBALL ALL-LEAGUE & MVP
Sec.1 There shall be an MVP pitcher and MVP field player selected from the 12 member all league team. 12 member of second team plus honorable mention.
Sec. 2 There shall honorable mention. Any player nominated by the league’s coaches, but that does not make the All-League team will be awarded honorable mention status.
Sec. 3 3/9/06 the number of nominations;
- 1st place = 8 nominations
- 2nd place 7 nominations
- 3rd place 6
- 4th place 5
- 5th – last place = 4 nominations.
Sec. 5 The following selections will be made: The coaches will determine positions;
Recommended 2 pitchers,8 field players, DH plus utility player 3/9/06
- pitchers
- outfielders
- infielders
- catcher
- 1st baseman
- utility
- DH
Sec. 6 Coaches vote by position as indicated in #5. They will give 10 points for the first team. A player may hold only one position on the All-League Team.
Sec. 7 The top 11 players representing each of the selections in #5 will be the first team. A player may hold only one will be determined position on the All-League Team.
Sec. 8 The next 12 players in each position will be the second team.
Sec. 9 Coaches may NOT vote for their own players
Sec. 10 Coaches must submit their all league nominations on the date requested by the commissioner.
Sec. 11 Coach can nominate a player for only one position and cannot change their nomination.
Sec. 12 If there are not enough nominations at a position to fill a first and second team, each coach will have an opportunity to add one player at that position.
Sec. 13 Mandatory all base coaches must wear a helmet 6/5/14
