Promoting Sportsmanship 
                    Spectator’s code
Remember that student-athletes play organized sports for their own fun.  They are NOT professional athletes. Please help us to promote good sportsmanship and maintain a positive school environment by doing the following:

Provide a positive and supportive environment

• Support your team and athletes
  
• Focus on the successes of our athletes rather than criticizing the opposing team
  
• Signs should be positive in nature
  
• No noisemakers (including portable speakers)
  
• Refrain from the use of profane, racist, sexist, or other derogatory language
  

Respect ALL officials, players, coaches, and other staff involved with the event

• Do not verbally or physically harass players, coaches, or officials
  
• Respect officials’ decisions 
  
• Do not criticize ANY athlete for making a mistake
  

Promote and maintain a safe facility by staying in the designated spectator areas and contacting school personnel if issues arise

• Do not enter the playing area before, during, or after the game
  
• Refrain from violent threats or actions towards others
