SOFTBALL
Sec. 1 The number of games and starting date will be determined by the NCS.
Sec. 2 Coaches shall coach from the coaches’ box.
Sec. 3 Starting time shall be 4:00PM.
Sec. 4 Postponed games are to be made up at a mutually agreed upon time. The necessity to postpone a game due to an unplayable field (rain) shall be determined by the Athletic Director of the home team. Visiting team shall be notified by 12:00 P.M. on the day of the game.
Sec. 5 Games shall be played on Tuesday and Thursday.
Sec. 6 The rules that are to followed will be those in the current national Federation Rule Book.
Sec. 7 Eligibility rules shall coincide with league, NCS, and CIF eligibility rules.
Sec. 8 Home team has choice of 1st or 3rd base side.
Sec. 9 Varsity games will be seven innings, or 10 run rule after 5 innings. J.V. games will be seven innings, 2 hour limit, or 10 run rule.
Sec. 10 Batting practice is allowed until 1 hour prior to game time. Not NCS Championship games.
Sec. 11 6/7/01 We will use the NCS tie breaker, if the game cannot be completed on this date we will continue the game until we get a winner. If the game is continued from a first round game, the game will be continued prior to the second round game. If the game is a second round game, it will continued on the next available date.
Sec. 12 Game ending procedures; Any contest that is suspended for any reason will continue
from the point of interruption, unless mutually agreed upon by the schools involved
to end the contest or if one team is ahead after 5 complete innings or the home team is ahead after 4 ½ innings.
Sec. 13 Mandatory that all base coaches MUST wear a helmet- 6/5/14

The coaches will select the the MVP and then select the 1st team members, pulling the MVP out of the voting. 6/5/08
Sec. 1 There shall be a 12 member first team and a second team. 6/4/09
Sec. 2 There shall be honorable mention. Any player nominated by the league’s coaches, but that does not make the All-League Team will be awarded honorable mention status.

Sec. 5 Coaches may give background talk on each of the nominees prior to the vote. Other coaches may comment or ask questions about the opponent’s candidates
Sec. 6 Coaches vote by position as indicated in #7. They will give 10 points for the first team caliber and five points for the second team caliber.
Sec. 7 The top twelve players representing each of the selections in #7 will be the first team.
Sec. 8 The next twelve players in each position will be the second team.
